Access Logs

An internal log entry is created each time the website is accessed. This includes:
  • Browser name and browser version
  • IP address
  • Referrer URL
  • Operating system
  • Requested URL


This data cannot be attributed to a specific person. The data is not shared with third parties and is used solely to improve the service.

Analytics

To improve the website, anonymized analytics data is collected using the Matomo tool. When accessing pages and subpages (e.g. /, /imprint, etc.), downloading files, and opening external links, an entry is created in Matomo. This includes:
  • IP address (shortened by 2 bytes, so only an approximate location can be determined)
  • Operating system (name and version, e.g. iOS 16.2)
  • Browser (name and version)
  • Accessed page, file, or external link


This data is used exclusively for analysis and improvement of the website and is not shared with third parties.

When submitting the contact form, the following data is transmitted:
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Message


This data is transmitted using an email service (hosted at https://eliaschenker.com) and stored on Gmail's mail servers (gmail.com) until it is processed.

YouTube Embeddings

YouTube videos are embedded on the homepage. The enhanced privacy mode is enabled for these embeds, which prevents YouTube from collecting information about visitors until the video is played. More information about data usage and terms of use can be found in the official YouTube Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Cloudflare Turnstile is used to prevent access by bots. More information can be found in the official privacy policy.
